p'tites confidences of Ophelia David

Slide on water and fly through the air ... all pulled by a kite. That is the beauty of the kite. Recently I discovered one of its best French representatives, Jeremie Eloy. Born in the north, he discovered the slides by making surfing in Britain. His thunderbolt came when kitesurfing a World Cup held in Dunkirk.

Jeremiah, 32, is professionally for several years. In addition to being one of the few kite surfers to live in his discipline, he is also one of the few to ride in the heart of wave ... which is spectacular. His search of the finest pipe leads to the four corners of the world. He realizes with the help of its sponsors many stories to promote her sport. He has collaborated several times with Nicolas Hulot for emissions
Ushuaia

. He also practices snowkiting: Snow! His website is filled with beautiful pictures and movies! Petite interview and video clips here!

Kitesurfing in a few words? Freedom, speed, flight, power ... A bit like a video game, it goes where you want: you can jump 10 meters, slide on modules, ride big waves .. It is quickly dimmed, and we quickly became addicted!
What do you feel when the kite take you through the air?

On a big jump, the first thing is the silence, there is no noise, one can easily hear people talking on the beach, birds ... it's pretty calm. It usually happens 6 to 10 seconds in the air, just enough to have the sensations of flight. On a technical leap to make, close to the wakeboard, it's more a feeling of speed and power.
And when you return to the surface of the water?

all depends on the receipt, you can land softly. But if you make a mistake, you take yourself a good slap! Sometimes I would stay longer in the air, and spend as much time on the water than in air.
Can you describe the sensation of speed?
is a sport where one is free, it was just a plank foot and a bar in front of you. As soon as you accelerate, you let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere, the water running. I have no idea of my speed. But we're sailing in general around 25 knots (50 mph). The record is over 100 km / h. In my practice, the goal is not to go faster, even if there is a notion of performance, but to ride the best waves.
